RISM series A/I as database (soon available) In a joint effort, the publishing company Bärenreiter Verlag, Kassel, and RISM intend to issue the Series A/I: Single Prints before 1800 on CD-ROM. The entries in volumes 1 to 9 and the new entries in volumes 11 to 14 will be fed into the data bank. The Addenda and Corrigenda in volumes 11 to 14 will be integrated into the original entries. The library sigla will be adapted to the forms usual at RISM today, and known changes in the possession of stocks will be integrated. Composers' names will be aligned to the usage in Series A/II. The data bank will be accessible through a full text search so that the user is spared the detour via an index, unavoidable in the printed version. We reckon with publication in 2005 at the earliest.
